Privacy Checklist Before Choosing a Tool
- Has the tool been independently audited? Check for recent security audits.
- What jurisdiction is the company based in? Avoid Five Eyes countries for maximum privacy.
- Can you export your data easily? Ensure no vendor lock-in.
- Review default settings — are they privacy-respecting by default?
